We want to play an active role in the ongoing decarbonization process, not only by designing greener and greener solutions, but also by being an increasingly sustainable company.
Polidoro makes considerable investments to reduce their environmental impact. These include eliminating waste and improving the energy efficiency of our plants.
SOCIAL ISSUES
INCLUSION
Polidoro has long fostered their sensitivity to issues linked to inclusion and the company’s impact on the territory. We take a diversified approach to human resources management, with a view to creating an environment capable of enhancing and favoring the specificity of the individual in order to reach common business objectives. In-house “Diversity & Inclusion” refers to 5 areas: gender, age, ethnic/racial characteristics, sexual orientation and gender identity, disabilities. At Polidoro the individuality of each person is always considered an asset that generates added value for the entire Team.
Over recent years, attention has increasingly turned to hiring youths, in order to reduce the percentage of youth unemployment in our territory. However, there has always been an open attitude toward workers of different ages. The idea was to succeed in creating the right mix between consolidated technical skills and innovative approaches.
We are proud of the diverse geographic and ethnic origins of our collaborators. In our company we also employ strategies to Attract Talents from abroad by collaborating with leading European universities. Furthermore, we share moments of training together with colleagues who work in plants abroad, so that everyone can feel they are part of a team.
SAFETY
Occupational health and safety have been certified since 2014, when we implemented our internal Safety and Health Management System (SGSS) entitled “Safe Work”. Safety has always been a priority, with ongoing economic investments being made to ensure the highest standards of plant, equipment, and infrastructure safety.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND GROWTH
We believe strongly in continuous training as a means to enhance the professionalism of the individual, but also to reinforce a sense of belonging, teamwork and problem solving in all corporate functions. In Polidoro there are many stories of collaborators who have embarked on a path of professional and personal growth.
Support for local associations and initiatives
We are proud of Polidoro’s strong commitment to supporting the territory and social sustainability. Polidoro also stands out for their ongoing collaboration with sports associations, including those for people with disabilities, local initiatives and active support of volunteering, reflecting the company’s commitment to building a prosperous and sustainable community.
